We introduced locking prescription vials to our patients receiving outpatient opioid addiction treatments to help with the overall effectiveness of the program and increase compliance. Locking Prescription Vials prevent diversion and protect our patients.
We provide the LPVs to all of those we serve in our MAT Program, who use them to keep their medications safe, whether they are living in a shelter, residential treatment center, or a home with children. These bottles create a sense of security that their medications are safe.
We get a lot of requests from students with roommates and students with families for Locking Prescription Vials. The program is popular across all academic levels, which is rare… to have a wellness program that is appealing to freshmen and graduate students and everyone in between.
We purchased Safe Rx Locking Prescription Vials to hand out at our take-back events, conferences, and meetings to promote safe storage of medications. These vials are a useful tool to engage our audience and they love them.
Locking vials serve as a barrier against unintended access to medications, whether it's curious children, inquisitive teenagers, or adults tempted to misuse them. It's a vital step forward in building a safer and healthier Hamilton County.
We purchased the locking vials so they can be offered cost-free to the community and utilized by as many households as possible to promote public health and safety.
SAFE Rx locking vials were purchased to provide students with an option to lock their medication as a way of means restriction surrounding suicide. Students have enjoyed this product as they can create their own code which can be filed with Safe Rx in case the code is forgotten while being stored safely.
Students use these bottles to safe guard their prescription medications in their dorm rooms, locker rooms, or anywhere else. These pill bottles helped our collegiate recovery program raise recovery awareness and empower students to protect themselves and others.
Wyoming has the highest suicide rate in the United States, double the national average. Wyoming prioritizes reducing access to lethal means as a suicide prevention strategy. By distributing these pill bottles, we hope that they will either prevent access to lethal pills or provide a barrier at a time of crisis.
We were able to hand out a Safe Rx locking vial to every community member who participated in Drug Take Back Day. We can’t wait to find more ways to give them out and make them a household staple.
We are a coallition focused on preventing youth substance use through school and community-based efforts based out of the 18,000 enrollment Parkway School District, where we distribute Safe Rx LPVs at events like Freshman Orientation, Grandparent Cafés, and other parent-focused gatherings.
