CCI’s initial Safe Rx® branded locking prescription vials (LPVs®) are sold into multiple healthcare and pharmacy verticals for use in medication safety and filling prescriptions (dispensing) and are being tested in multiple clinical studies to create profitable economics for dispensing pharmacies.

CCI expects reimbursement to pharmacies in selected settings for medication – assisted treatment (MAT) drugs in late 2023, with data from additional studies underway driving pharmacy reimbursement for controlled substances as early as late 2024. The Safe Rx product line prevents pilfering (sneaking pills), the #1 source for teen drug abuse in the U.S. and a leading source of diversion in a broad universe of household and institutional settings. Identified by a number of high-profile experts as a key solution to the opioid epidemic, LPV dispensing of opioids alone would prevent ~ 21 M teens and young adults from initiating drug abuse over a ten-year-period, while the elimination of pilfering as a source of diversion would yield savings of more than $3 billion annually in excess cost of care for addiction treatment.
